Western Goddess

Western Goddess, 9"x9," (graphite, gouache, acrylic on board). For one of my classes I did a series that reflected women of different cultures around the world. I was planning to do all five continents but only got three done... to many class deadlines. I was designing the compositions with specific graphic shapes for each. In the center of each image is a nude part of the body to symbolically represent the universal aspects of women that transcend culture.
