We expand upon concept design principles used in the film, games and publishing industries and begin to build the visual intelligence of your worlds. You write a simple story or use an existing one, then create the characters to bring it to life. Students must have some proficiency in drawing materials, and proficiency in Photoshop.

DAY ONE- Props can be as simple as a sword, or as complex as a computer. Vehicles can also be as simple as a row boat or as complex as a Star Ship Destroyer. The story drives the design. After deciding on the genre and audience of the story we will sketch ideas for props and vehicles that are a needed in a specific scene. Producing a simple style guide will begin this journey.

We keep pushing the limits of what these designs can be.

DAY TWO- We will choose a favorite prop and vehicle and bring it into Photoshop to refine further. The goal is to create professional pieces of art suitable for the publishing and entertainment industries.
