In 1996 I was asked to create Linda Perry’s first solo album cover called, In Flight with Interscope records. She is an incredibly talented singer, song writer who first burst into the spotlight with the all girl band, 4 Non Blondes. The art was a fun piece to make and just before I started to embrace the digital world.

The album has some great songs too. She re-released it in 2005 as she was disappointed with Intescope’s promotion of the album, so it has a new cover now. I think that makes my version a limited edition classic!

Linda’s website is here. If her site is still under construction put her name into a search engine and see all the amazing work she has created.

The following music video showcases one of my favorite songs of hers, What’s Up? Please excuse the ridiculous ad that shows up on You Tube before her song. It cannot be clicked off.

See more of my art in The Art of Greg Spalenka: Visions from the Mind’s Eye to be released by Titan Books in July 2014, at the San Diego Comic Con.
